This past weekend I celebrated my twenty eighth birthday..naturally with a ton of food (you can check out my instagram page for more details). I wrote about how I feel about my birthdays two years ago but looking back now, birthdays aren’t that bad after all. Over the years, my perspectives on things have changed and I have learned to accept things in general compared to previous years. So here I am twenty eight years old, feeling somewhat okay with embracing my age, celebrating my accomplishments, and everything in between. Last year, I wrote my first ecookbook – 27 (which is available for free download until March 14th) and today I bring you guys a giveaway from KIND Bars.
Before we jump into the awesome giveaway, I want to quickly share “8 life lessons” (you can read more on 26 life lessons).
Life is a Marathon, Not a Sprint: Instead of always being on-the-go, I have learned to take a breath, slow things down, and rejoice little things in life.
Don’t hold grudges – regardless whose fault it is if it means fixing a relationship with someone you truly value.
Take your Stance – in both personal and professional life.
Practice more random acts of kindness – no matter how small it is.
The dishwasher is AWESOME – It may not seem like a big deal to most of you but until last year I was against using a dishwasher but now we are BFFS.
Take fashion risks – aka wearing lipstick (in love with this, this, and this)
Live closer to an area where you can get to things by merely stepping out of the door. I CANT wait to move closer to the city.
Also, it’s totally okay to call it a night at 9 pm on the weekend.
…now back to the giveaway – KIND is generously offering 12 bars of different flavors to one lucky reader. Just tell me one life lesson you have learned. I will randomly pick a winner on March 17th 2015.
