I love the versatility and endless possibilities with dumplings and today I present you Cranberry Cheesecake Dessert Dumplings. These are dessert/appetizer friendly dumplings made with only 2 key ingredients and deep-fried so they’re crispy and oozing with cheesy goodness. This is my kind of appetizer when I am entertaining, and with the holiday season right upon us, I couldn’t think of a better combination than cranberries and cream cheese together.
Cranberry Cheesecake Dessert Dumplings are made with just 2 key ingredients – PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese and cranberry sauce (you can use a store-bought variety or your favorite homemade recipe), which can be easily purchased at your nearest Walmart. Dumpling making is a great way to gather around the table with your loved ones, sharing stories and creating something delicious together. I found the “triangle” shape works best with Cranberry Cheesecake Dessert Dumplings, which are great for beginners and kid-friendly too!
A lot of people are intimidated by the idea of making dumplings but trust me, you just need the right ingredients, supplies, and a little time on your hand. Cranberry Cheesecake Dessert Dumplings are made with only two key ingredients and when possible, pick the best ingredients so your dish really shines. I am using my go-to PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, which is made with no artificial preservatives, dyes or flavors.
The fresh tasting, creamy texture of PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese pairs really well with tart-sweet cranberry sauce and I recommend you pick your favorite cranberry sauce for this recipe. If you are short on time, a store-bought variety works and this is also a great way to use your leftover cranberry sauce.
I am more of a savory dumpling kinda gal but dessert-appetizer dumplings are definitely a crowd pleaser and I truly hope my Cranberry Cheesecake Dessert Dumplings will be a part of your holiday table.

Prep Time: 30 minutes
Cook Time: 10 minutes
Total Time: 40 minutes
Serves 24 as an appetizer or dessert, 2 dumplings per serving
Ingredients
1 package (8 ounces) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
14 oz cranberry sauce (homemade or store-bought)
48 wonton wrappers (square, thin wrappers; homemade or store-bought)
Small bowl of water
2 quarts neutral oil such as canola, sunflower
¼ cup powdered sugar
Directions
1. Add a teaspoon of the cream cheese in the center of each dumpling wrapper and top with 1 teaspoon of cranberry sauce.
2. Use a pastry brush or your index finger to wet the edges of the dumpling wrapper. Fold the wrapper into half to a triangle shape and press down on the edges to seal them.
3. Heat oil in a heavy-bottom pan to 350°F. Fry dumplings, working in batches, for 1-2 minutes or until lightly golden brown. Dumplings will turn a slightly darker color as they continues to cook due to residual heat.
4. Transfer fried dumplings into a plate or a tray lined with paper to absorb excess oil.
5. Arrange them on a serving platter and dust with powdered sugar right before serving.
