Virtual Coffee Date (NYC Edition)

If we were having coffee this morning, I'd tell you that I had an amazing time in NY. Even though it was a short trip, I love everything about that city.

If we were having coffee this morning, I'd tell you that  my friend's wedding was such a blast - she looked gorgeous and everything was perfect as she was planned for.

If we were having coffee this morning, I'd tell you about some of things we ate in NY. Our trip started with Hot Pot at Little Sheep Hot Pot which was flavorful, meaty, and everything I could have asked for at that time.

We spent good chunk of Saturday exploring Williamsburg, a neighborhood in Brooklyn. I loved the vibe here - it's quaint, lots of eclectic shops, hipster-ish coffee shops + restaurant style scene. If we were having coffee this morning, I'd tell you that we went to the cutest restaurant called House of Small Wonder - a tiny, modern Japanese + French inspired restaurant. Picture below is Tsukune Don - chicken meatballs with teriyaki sauce, served with soft egg over rice. Pretty delicious...however, the Sake Teishoku, a salmon dish was NOT. I'd go here for the atmosphere and try other things on the menu again..

If we were having coffee this morning, I'd tell you that I absolutely enjoyed sitting by the water on a warm afternoon with lychee rose baonanas  & ice cream sandwich from The Good Batch!I

If we were having coffee this morning, I'd tell you that I need to start my day coffee + croissant more often, except that where can I find fresh croissant every morning?

If we were having coffee this morning, I'd like to thank everyone who showed so much love and support during Nepal's Earthquake last year. It's been one year since the tragedy - thousands of lives are still affected, reconstruction is slow as expected...but people are resilient and moving on.

What would you tell me if we were having coffee this morning?
