Oatmeal is my go-to breakfast of choice whenever I need to jumpstart my system. Since I am not too crazy about cooked, hot oatmeal, I prefer the chilled overnight kind. I have shared a similar chilled Swiss oatmeal before, this is a different variation with chia seeds and kiwi.
Muesli was introduced around 1900 by the Swiss physician Maximilian Bircher-Benner for patients in his hospital as a part of a healing therapy. The original recipe consists of oat flakes, raw apples, condensed milk, nuts and lemon juice (source).
